Not worth the drive nor the loss of cash. Therefore, we have stopped going to the Q. Service people and cooks are really competent and friendly. I will say that the food at the Sports Bar is really extraordinary for casino food, and very reasonably priced.

The day of playing all the lines for $.25 are gone. Now the machines spin faster and faster to take your money quicker. Until all the newer high-tech stupid machines came into all the casinos, we really enjoyed playing the old machines, even tho we rarely won. The machines have always been tight, and we have rarely walked away with more money than we came with. And to tell the truth, we only went because it has a charming ambiance. Because we live 3 1/2 hours away, we used to go maybe 10 times a year. My husband and I have been going to the Q for over 20 years. We will definitely be back in the near future, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! It was nice to have a choice between the older upper casino and the newer, fancier lower casino (with its accommodating Center Bar). We did well at craps, slots, and video poker, and saw more than a few hand pays during our visit. We spent most of our time in the Q Sportsbook Casino, where the bartenders (especially Teresa) were fantastic! And the bar food menu was extensive and delicious.so many things to try and so little time! We actually won a little money over the weekend, too, and did not feel that the casino was 'tight' overall (although this is subjective.your mileage may vary). The upgrades of the hotel and casino resulted in clean, fun, attractive areas to gamble, relax, and drink. The employees were ALL friendly, and appreciative to have customers back. Most people had masks on, which added to us being comfortable during pandemic conditions.

Gameday energy was fun! Bathrooms very clean and well maintained. The casino had energy, but was not packed, which allowed plenty of social distancing opportunities. We stayed 3 nts/4 days in the attached Hilton Garden Inn (great hotel with awesome staff, by the way).

We set out with low expectations, because there wasn't much post-Covid info on the web about the place. No sports betting allowed in Wisconsin, so we decided to drive out to the Q Casino in Dubuque to check it out. Had to cancel a trip to Las Vegas this past week due to the experience not being the same out there.
